The Chambakkara market is the epicentre of fish trade in the city. The market is a fantastic visual experience during early morning and day hours. The amount of fish and their sheer variety defies imagination and expectation. Fish, fish and then some more fish, some familiar and most complete strangers. Anchovy ( kozhuva ), sardine ( mathi ), mackerel ( ayela ), threadfin bream ( kilimeen ), tilapia ( thilopia ), barracuda ( sheelavu ), tuna ( chura )–wax white, silver, pink, brown, white, black, spotted, long, tiny, fat–there is most every kind imaginable here.

Kunnara Park is on the Vyttila-Pettah Road near the Thykoodam Metro Station. The park is spread over 60 cents of land near Vyttila Hub.
The park has a covered party area and hundreds of plants, with beautiful lighting. Another interesting feature of the park is the inclusion of select paintings of Edmund Thomas Clint, the young prodigy. The paintings have been displayed in the special section called ‘Clinton Square’.
Park has a walking track, children’s play area and an open amphitheatre model.
